Chart to Table (Image to Data)
Extract the data from a chart or graph image into a table and CSV, with each value marked as printed on the chart or estimated from its shape.
Extract a chart's data from an image into a table and CSV — its series, points and labels — with each value marked as printed on the chart or estimated from bar lengths and point positions.
Printed values can be cited; estimated ones are useful for analysis but should not be attributed to the source. Any value marked as read that is not in the chart's text is automatically moved to estimated.
Who it is for
Researchers
Data from a chart in a published study, for re-analysis.
Financial analysts
Figures from a chart in a report that does not include its tables.
Journalists
An infographic's numbers checked before citing them.
Students
A textbook chart turned into a table for study.
How it works
- Upload the chart image: bars, lines or pie.
- All visible text is transcribed first: title, axes and printed values.
- Series and points are extracted, each value marked read or estimated.
- Values claimed as read but not in the chart's text are moved to estimated. Download CSV.
Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between read and estimated?
A read value is printed on the chart and can be cited. An estimated one was measured from the shape — useful, but not something the source states.
Does the CSV open in Excel?
Yes, encoded so Excel opens Arabic text correctly.
